As we reflect on November, I am filled with gratitude for the remarkable journey we’ve shared over the past month. November was one of our busiest and most impactful months yet, marked by significant milestones and transformations within our community.
As a pilot, I have a rare privilege of experiencing moments in life that few people ever have. I have watched sunsets rise and fall, and from 10,000 feet, the world below appears small and distant. This perspective often reminds me of the broader picture we are creating together at Village Mercy. From my unique vantage point as a team leader, I have been blessed to witness profound changes in the lives of the men we serve. It is a rare privilege to see how one man’s transformation can ripple through a society, turning broken individuals into compassionate leaders and loving present fathers
At Village Mercy, my role is to build a sustainable structure for our team, support our discipleship efforts, and create an environment where growth can thrive, even when it involves taking risks and learning from mistakes. This month was particularly special, as we celebrated five incredible years of serving in South Africa. In a country where many businesses struggle to survive their second year, the endurance of our non-profit is a testament to the grace and dedication that fuels our mission.
One vital aspect of our work is the human resource, our compassionate and competent team members. Thanks to your generous donations and fervent prayers, we have been able to keep our doors open and make a measurable impact on the lives of over 60 men who have walked through our doors. These men have returned to their families as leaders, providers, and protectors.
Plans and Budget for the upcoming year
As we approach the end of the year, we are proud to highlight the achievements of our program director, Nhlakanipho Sithole, who has recently launched his new family. His effective leadership has been invaluable to Village Mercy, and we ask you to join us in prayer for his new marriage and the continued growth of our entire team in such away.
Looking ahead, we have finalized our plans and budget for the upcoming year, setting ambitious goals that will help us elevate our programs. We have set our sights on raising R1.6 million (approximately $85,000) for next year’s initiatives, with a larger vision of R6 million (around $325,000) by 2030. Your generosity has already played an essential role in transforming lives.
